Low-interest, long-term disaster loans offered to small businesses affected by Gatlinburg wildfires
The U.S. Small Business Administrations (SBA) has opened a Business Recovery Center for Sevier County to help businesses and organizations impacted by the Gatlinburg wildfires that took place November 28 through December 9, 2016.
SBA staff will be on site at the Sevier County Business Recovery Center to provide information about the SBA’s disaster loans, help businesses complete the loan applications and answer any questions. Location and hours are as follows:

Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
The SBA offers low-interest, long-term disaster loans for physical damage and working capital. To be considered for this assistance, please apply by the appropriate deadline. The filing deadline to return applications for physical property damage is Feb. 13, 2017. The deadline to return economic injury applications is Sept. 15, 2017.
“The SBA is committed to facilitating economic recovery in this disaster. We want area businesses to have a resource where they can meet individually with SBA representatives and find out how a low-interest disaster loan can help them recover,” said Frank Skaggs, director of SBA’s Field Operations Center East in Atlanta.
