Welcome to the Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC) at Pathway Lending, a focused entrepreneurship training and counseling provider for military service members and veterans.


The VBOC at Pathway Lending serves transitioning service members and veterans of all eras, other members of the military entrepreneurship community, including active duty service members, National Guard and Reserve component members, and military spouses who aspire to be or are existing business owners.

The service territory for the VBOC at Pathway Lending includes Kentucky and Tennessee. Services, including the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Boots to Business program, will be provided at Fort Campbell, Fort Knox, McGhee Tyson Air National Guard Base and Naval Support Activity Mid-South at Millington.


Before we can provide assistance, the U.S. Small Business Administration requires all clients to register with VBOC and complete the Request for Counseling form. This form will act as our Confidentiality and Code of Conduct Agreements. All client information is held in strict confidence. This request for counseling is FREE and CONFIDENTIAL!


Pathway VBOC Director Reggie Ordonez

Reggie Ordonez, VBOC Director: Reggie served in the US Marines in Light Armored Reconnaissance units has deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan, and Haiti with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit. He was a Staff Non Commissioned Officer that specialized in in leadership, management, curriculum development, and instruction. He most recently completed a Bachelor of Science in Social Entrepreneurship: Economic Development from Belmont University, and developed a passion for using his entrepreneurial education as a catalyst for veterans to excel after their military careers. Reggie is a formally trained instructor with over 2,000 hours of experience in both the classroom and the field, leading and training senior US Marines to be subject matter experts in their occupation.



The vision of the VBOC at Pathway Lending is to be a key player that connects current and former military members who are, or aspire to be, entrepreneurs with the resources they need to be successful. The VBOC at Pathway Lending will provide in-depth business consulting, classroom training, and online education on topics such as strategies for business expansion, cash flow management, and access to capital.

The Veterans Business Outreach Center is housed at Pathway Lending, a non-profit based in Nashville, Tennessee with a mission of providing underserved businesses with lending solutions and educational services that result in job creation and economic development.


The U.S. Small Business Administration makes the American dream of business ownership a reality. As the only go-to resource and voice for small businesses backed by the strength of the federal government, the SBA empowers entrepreneurs and small business owners with the resources and support they need to start and grow their businesses.

The SBA provides a slate of excellent resources free to entrepreneurs through their website. The SBA’s Office of Veterans Business Development works to maximize the availability, applicability and usability of all administration small business programs for Veterans, Service-Disabled Veterans, Reserve Component Members, and their Dependents or Survivors. Resources designed specifically for active duty service members and veterans include:


  • Office of Veterans Business Development: Programs and services to assist aspiring and existing veteran entrepreneurs such as training, counseling and mentorship, and oversight of Federal procurement programs.
